Kawaichiya Ryokan in Nozawa Onsen Kawaichiya Ryokan is a Japanese style ryokan located right in the centre of Nozawa Onsen and prides itself on its fine service and hospitality. Iwatoya Ryokan Iwatoya Ryokan is only an easy five minute walk from the Nozawa-Onsen ski lifts and a ten minute walk from the centre of the Nozawa Onsen hot-spring area (see map). This ryokan has a small hot-spring bath and offers air-conditioned Japanese rooms with a TV and shared bathrooms/toilets. The simply furnished rooms include Shoji paper screens and a low table with floor cushions. Ryokan Masuya, Nozawa Onsen Masuya Ryokan is a 5-minute drive from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort and a 5-minute walk from the Nozawa Onsen bus stop (see map). This traditional ryokan has an indoor hot-spring bath and serves a Japanese breakfast and dinner. All rooms are Japanese inn-style with futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. The restaurant/bar ‘Himatsuri’ is inspired by the famous Fire Festival in Nozawa Onsen. Guests can feel the local matsuri (festival) spirit whilst enjoying their food and drinks. The second floor restaurant area has a grill and tempura bar which serves the locally made sake ‘Mizuo’ - an excellent choice to go with your favorite meal. Kawamotoya Ryokan in Nozawa Onsen Kawamotoya is a Nozawa Onsen institution that reopened in December 2011 as a boutique ryokan (see map). This inn comprises of 23 guests rooms. Eight rooms have their own private bathroom and fifteen guests rooms have a private toilet. From the east side of the Kawamotoya guests have a nice view on the Nozawa ski resort whilst to the west side of the guests will enjoy a vista of the mountains.

Chiosekan Ryokan in Nozawa Onsen The cosy Chitosekan is 750 metres from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort and features a hot-spring bath and Japanese meals.
