Slightly cooler today in Nozawa with snow expected up top tonight
Today will mark the end to this warm spring spell that we’ve experienced over the last few days in Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort. Temperatures have begun dropping back down, nearly hitting zero today. We’ve got one last day of sunshine to enjoy before clouds begin to move in by evening.

Base at Uenotaira: 85cm
New Snow since close: 0 cm
Weather: Bluebird, mild winds and temperatures.

Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 08 March 2016: Overview
It’s looking as though temperatures should keep dropping as snow starts falling up top tonight reaching the village soon after as the freezing level drops, continuing right through until Thursday night.
With temperatures still above zero, the best spots today will be higher up on the hill. Lower down the snow is pretty soft though up top you might have more luck finding faster runs. It should be fairly quiet up there today with no weekend or holiday crowds. Things are looking great for the coming week here at Nozawa. We’ve started our snow dance. Have you?
