Nozawa Onsen Snow report 26 December 2015
Yesterday’s conditions were quite icy but some snow started falling in the afternoon. It started snowing in the village later in the afternoon and has been falling most of the night. The village has a nice light coating of snow and the top has a fresh 15cm.
The future is looking good with fresh snow forecast for the next four days. We should be getting around 10cm a day. Wednesday looks like it’ll be a beautiful clear day to make the most of the fresh snow. Temperatures at the top won’t be getting above -4 so all the fresh snow should settle nicely. Tomorrow will be an incredibly chilly day with temperatures not getting above -10 and a wind chill factor of -24. Stay warm!! As for the village the temperature will be hovering between -5 and 0 degrees, with snow continuing to fall over the next couple of days.
Here’s a few shots from on the mountain yesterday:
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are keen to get out there and test out any new gear!
