Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 28 January 2016
After two bluebird days in Nozawa, the sun is still shining brightly upon our little part of the globe for a third day. There may be some cloud forming later during the day, with a likely chance of snow beginning to fall by the afternoon. For the morning, conditions are a little slushy with the sun and mild temperatures taking their toll on the snowpack, though make no mistake, on piste conditions are still great.
Once this evening’s snow starts dropping, We’re expecting to see it continue throughout the weekend, with the heaviest dump on Friday night. It’s exciting to see that our forecast has been boosted and let’s hope it stays that way.
Temperatures will be dropping down again by the weekend and should stay low for all of next week. There are plenty of small snowfalls expected in the coming week so our base should keep building up gradually.
