Exciting news for Nozawa Onsen
Start saying goodbye to the trees and shrubs, they’ll soon be covered in snow!
It’s cold outside and even colder up the top. The forecast has blessed us with an even better prediction than yesterday; a solid 43cm for tomorrow which is just what we need! Unfortunately there’s no snow in the village just yet but we’re expecting some tonight. The top of the resort will be getting a nice dusting over the course of today.
The photo featured here is of one of Nowawa’s most famous Onsen, a traditional experience and a great way to prepare your muscles for the weekend when our lifts will hopefully be open.
Looking outside we can see some thick clouds covering the higher sections of Nozawa Onsen. They’re looking quite heavy and ready to unload some snow. Whether they do or not is out of our control, but there’s no harm in hoping. Any moment now!
